I recently wrote a post called how to organize my day. I wanted to write more about the topic of organizing. Now I’m going to share with you how I organize my week. It’s much easier to organize your week than your day because usually there are the same wonderful tasks week after week, like laundry, doing the dishes, grocery-shopping etc. That’s why the only thing you really need to do is to put some kind of a frame around these tasks. There are many benefits of organizing your week. For example, you become much more productive and your mind-clutter is much less because you know what you have to do, and when. So how do you organize your week?Write the tasks down. Put down on a piece of paper or on your computer all the tasks you do every week. Start slowly. Don’t over clutter your week. It’s much better to put fewer task at the beginning and then add more when you get comfortable with the ones you already have. Give time to every task. Some tasks take more of your time than others. For example, Doing laundry could take the whole day, or maybe two days, if you have a large family. While doing the dishes usually takes about half an hour. But you have to do the dishes more frequently. Give the task your full attention. When you take on your tasks give them all of your attention, don’t think about the other ones. Be patient. Give yourself some time to get used to the new routine. It always takes time to get comfortable with new habits. This is how I organize my week and this ways work just brilliant for me. Although it took some time for me to get into this routine, but when I got there, it was great! It’s so much easier not having to think about the pile of tasks you need to do. They all have their time and place in your week. |
