Stress is a kind of decease in modern times and no wonder we are so stressed. The pressure related to work has boosted because of increased demand of education among other things. If you don’t follow the rest you’re bound fall of the train. Also we have a higher standard of living and to meet it we have to work more and the time we can spend with our family and friends becomes less and less. We try to make it up by buying stuff like video games, TV’s and DVD or Blue-ray players. Those things cost so we have to work even harder to afford them, which then again means less time for our family.

This circle screams out for stress. It often seems to me that stress is a default setting for the modern human. To be busy and to have a lot to do is often considered a quality in modern communities. In spite of this I like to see the bright side of it. I took together some of the things I do to reduce stress in my life.

Meditate. This is a cornerstone in my life, you can read more on my thoughts on meditation here.

Early rising. When I make it a habit to wake up earlier I feel like I’ve gained some extra time. It’s unbelievable how much you can accomplish when you wake up a little earlier.

Watch your breathing. This is something you can do anytime, anywhere. How am I breathing right now? Is it deep and slow or fast and shallow? Try to take slow and deep breaths whenever you find stress growing inside you.

Organize your day in advance. Read more about organizing here.

Drink less of Coffee and other drinks that include Caffeine. This explains itself.

Practice Yoga. It has good effect on your health, reduces your stress and is helpful to control your breathing.

Live one day at a time. Good sentence that has a deep meaning. Another one is Live and let live, don’t take on the worries and troubles of others.

Learn to say no. This can be a problem for many people. We don’t want to be rude or seem lazy. Know your limits.

Simplify your life. There are countless ways to simplify your life. Here are some of the things I do to simplify my life.

Have wonderful and a stress-free day!
